This medium-bodied figurado is made not in Cuba, where the brand was founded, but in the Dominican Republic. The Montecristo Platinum Series No. 2 (6 1/8 inches by 52 ring gauge, $13.85) has a Nicaraguan wrapper, Dominican binder and Dominican, Nicaraguan and Peruvian filler.
