Don't snooze on this one. If you like the rich, sweet, medium-bodied flavor of aged, well-made maduros, this one is custom-built for you. Shortly before the recent Dominican shutdown, one of the top factories in the country asked if I'd take hundreds sticks of this first-rate premium blend, as they wanted to turn some inventory into cold hard cash before the shutdown. Normally, this very blend is sold under a famous brand label. I agreed to sell them in unbanded 20-count mazos and while I can't disclose the brand, suffice it to say this is a WHOPPER of a deal at 78% less than the famous brand price. It starts with the wrapper - a thick, gorgeous, oily Brazilian maduro leaf from the top priming. Combined with a well-fermented Criollo binder and blend of aged Nicaraguan long-fillers, this is one scrumptious morsel. Medium in body with sweetness, pepper, oak and cocoa.
