| | | | The House moves policy forward that supports hemp for our troops. NDAA amendments still to pass Senate, become law. The military has had a longstanding zero-tolerance policy toward marijuana. That's now shifting, as the House of Representatives recently passed a package of amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act, including a provision that allows military members to consume hemp products. The amendment, sponsored by Tulsi Gabbard, would supersede the Defense Department's rule that prohibits CBD for service members. While the package passed the House 336 to 71, it remains to be seen if these policies will find approval in the Senate, and if the NDAA will be signed into law with Gabbard's amendment included. | |
