Uncompromising quality, 91-Rated Blend Liga Undercrown, shipped FREE
Liga Privada Undercrown Corona Viva | | Liga Privada Undercrown Corona Viva is among the most popular cigars to come out of the Drew Estate factory to date. Following in the footsteps of the now world-famous No. 9 and T52, Undercrown can be considered part of the same family. In fact, if it weren't for its ultra-premium big brothers, Undercrown probably would have never come into existence. As the story goes according to Jonathan Drew, "In early 2009 we asked our torcedores to smoke less Liga Privada cigars because they were leaving too few to be exported… rather than being disgruntled they responded by blending their own signature liga(blend)." To do this, the folks at Drew Estate used many of the same rare tobaccos used in T52 and No. 9, but of different primings and vintages. Undercrown consists of a top shelf combination of Nicaraguan Cuban seed and Brazilian Mata Fina filler tobaccos, a T52 Connecticut River Valley stalk cut and cured Habano binder, and a rare San Andres Maduro wrapper known as Otapan Negro Ultimo Corte (Spanish for Last Cut Black Otapan). The end result went from a "throw-around" cigar enjoyed by rollers at the factory to a masterpiece that earned a spot on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 in no time flat. Firmly packed, masterfully rolled, and beautifully packaged, Undercrown truly shines in terms of appearance. However, that is only the beginning. The firm draw burns the cigar slowly, producing long, silky ribbons of translucent blue smoke that coats the palate like syrup. With earthy tobacco as the core flavor, Undercrown evolves into a luxurious array of nutty, creamy blasts of cocoa and sweet Nicaraguan spice. The overall profile is similar to the "classic maduro profile," yet much more refined. A sweet, thick finish completes the phenomenal bouquet of flavor, proving that Undercrown is definitely one of a kind. Medium-full-bodied in stature, Undercrown is available in a vast array of sizes, each one geared to the modern connoisseur. The Corona Viva is a 5 5/8" x 46 corona that offers a better idea of the true flavor of the luxurious wrapper. | | When Drew Estate comes out with a non-flavored cigar, you can just about bank on the fact that it's an aficionado-level stick aimed directly at those with well-seasoned palates. First crafted in 1968 by General Cigar's Estelo Padron, the brand has come to be recognized as the standard by which all other Honduran stogies are judged, with a full, rich taste and body that comes from the simple combination of sun, wind, and soil paired with time-honored blending and maturation techniques. Every layer of the cigar deserves some of the credit, from the Sumatra wrapper from Ecuador, to the Connecticut Broadleaf binder, down to the long-leaf Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican filler. Forget your quadruple flame, jet-fueled, 50000 BTU torch lighter, these cigars light perfectly using the soft flame from a cedar spill to fill the mouth with heady flavors that call to mind black bread and earthy cocoa, with hints of cinnamon from the Sumatra leaf. Smokers who regularly enjoy the medium-to-full Rocky Patel 1992 Vintage, Camacho Select, or Alec Bradley Black Market owe it to themselves to try Hoyo de Monterrey, the Honduran that started it all. Here at CigarPlace, we are bringing you these excellent sticks at great prices for bundles and fivers... making these a real bargain! | | Hoyo de Monterrey Natural is a true classic, and we're bringing you this five-nation blend for just $4 per stick! | | Perdomo Lot 23 Connecticut Toro | | | | | At one time you expressed an interest in CigarPlace.biz and provided your email address.
