Hampden Estate Pure Single Jamaican Rum The distillery's five pillars are the use of natural spring water, wild fermentation following techniques of the 18th century, the use of 100% artisanal distillation in copper pot stills, tropical aging and natural colour without added sugar or artificial flavourings. 100% authentic Jamaican rum. 2. Ron Abuelo 12 Year Old Rum Produced at Panama's Varela Hermanos S.A. distillery in Pesé, this rum is aged in American White Oak barrels using the solera system. Though this bottle has a 12 year age statement, it actually contains rums greater than 20 years old, making this an exceptionally smooth and warming spirit. 3. Flor de Cana 12 year old Rum The World's first spirit to be carbon neutral and fair trade certified, but don't let this distract you. The flavours are impeccable making this not only better for the enviroment but also very enjoyable neat or as a creative cocktail! 4. Doorly 14 year Old Barbados Rum A blend of Pot and Column distilled rum aged for 14 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Madeira casks from the Foursquare Rum Distillery, located in Barbados. Released in 2019, this is the latest addition to the brand's core range. However, as you might expect from a 14 year old, tropically aged spirit, stocks of this expression are not widely available. 5. Brugal 1888 Gran Reserva Doblemente Anejado Rum Being one of the distillery's premium offerings, this rum is "Doblemente Anejado", or Double Aged. First, the rum is allowed to mature for 6 to 8 years in American Oak Bourbon casks. For the second and final step, the rum is matured in first fill Spanish Sherry casks for up to six years. 6. Clairin Vaval Batch 3 Rum "Clairin" is the native Haitian rum (kleren in Haitian creole) due to its crystal-clear colour. This liquid isn't just the local spirit of Haitian villages but the grandmother of rum as a category, still produced in the same way as ancestral cane spirits. This particular release comes from the Arrawaks distillery, made from 100% pure sugar cane juice, fermented naturally with wild yeast and distilled in one continuous copper column still. 7. Ron Izalco 10 Year Old Rum Ron Izalco takes us on a journey to the mystic volcanic lands of Central America. Carefully blending together rums from Nicaragua, Panama and Guatemala, using volcanic sugar cane, the spirit is aged for 10 years in charred American Oak casks, producing a delicious amber-coloured spirit, showered in awards, including Gold, Double Gold and a Masters award.   8. Red Leg Spiced Rum A Double Gold winner at the San Francisco spirit Competition in 2013, this beautiful spiced rum is one you can just keep going back to. The secret is all in the blending, left to rest in oak barrels and infused with Jamaican ginger and vanilla spices. 9. Foursquare Nobiliary Rum This Foursquare release is the latest addition to their Exceptional Cask series, bottled at the abv of 62%, the highest to date, and limited to 12,000 bottles worldwide. This release is a single blended rum, which means a blend of pot still and traditional column still from a single distillery. Aged entirely in the tropics for 14 years in first, second, and third fill Ex-Bourbon barrels. 10. Last Ward 2007 Mount Gay Habitation Velier Rum This Barbados pure single rum is a rare independent bottling of Mount Gay. Triple distilled in 2007 using 100% pot stills and matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels, this barrel proof release of 59% abv is definitely something exciting for any rum connoisseur!
