The Edge Barrel-Aged boasts a long-leaf recipe of Nicaraguan and Honduran Ligero underneath a dark, redolent Habano wrapper. Prior to rolling, a portion of the potent long-fillers rest in casks that previously housed bourbon. The additional aging not only smooths out the select leaves significantly, but it also introduces a litany of luscious flavors and characteristics that are derived from the charred wood. Starting off as medium-bodied but gaining intensity along the way, expect notes of caramel, red berry, charred oak, leather, earth, and pepper.
These dark delights are no doubt every bit as bold and delicious as the other blends in The Edge series, but barrel-aging brings with it an added dimension on the palate that's impossible to ignore.
