We've updated our legal terms. Here's what that means for you in a nug-shell. | | The concentrated version | | We've updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to provide greater clarity around user data and to reflect new improvements we've made to our site. | | The garden of changes | Arranged for clarity — We have updated our privacy policy to be more transparent about (1) what information we collect, (2) how we use it, and (3) how we share it, like when you place an order to be fulfilled through one of our Retailers. We also added additional privacy details for California consumers.
Elevated integrations and features — The new terms explain our recent and upcoming integrations with third parties to improve transaction efficiency (e.g., to provide you with more accurate tax calculations for each transaction) as well as recently added and upcoming feature releases (stay tuned!).
The analytics of it all — Our new Cookies Policy explains some of the ways we, along with our third-party services, use cookies to help us monitor our products and services for issues, improve site security, and keep track of your preferences and interests for a more personalized experience - this includes sweet recommendations on products and retailers to try!
Discuss and resolve — Updates have been made to the dispute resolution clauses in the Terms of Use to explain how Weedmaps is committed to a consumer-friendly resolution process, if ever needed. We prefer to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom but we do have a process to handle individual arbitration to make sure we arrive at a fair decision.
The next time you use our mobile app or site, you may be asked to accept these new terms. If you don't want to accept these updates, we'll be bummed to see you go (and you'll need to delete your account in that case).
